Environmental Policy
Tresmontana Ltd
Document Ref: TM-ENV-001 | Issue Date: March 2025 | Review Date: March 2027

1. Policy Statement
Tresmontana Ltd recognises that its operations — including Non-Destructive Testing, Lifting Equipment Examinations, and Rope Access Inspection services — have the potential to impact the environment. The Managing Director is committed to minimising those impacts and to operating in an environmentally responsible manner.
Tresmontana Ltd will comply with all applicable environmental legislation, including the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011, and any client or site-specific environmental requirements. We are committed to continual improvement in our environmental performance.

2. Scope
This policy applies to all work activities undertaken by Tresmontana Ltd, across all sectors in which it operates, including oil and gas, renewable energy, industrial infrastructure, and maritime. It applies to operations conducted onshore and offshore, in the UK and internationally.

3. Environmental Commitments
Tresmontana Ltd commits to the following:
Waste Management — NDT consumables, used chemicals (such as magnetic inks, penetrants, and cleaning agents), and general site waste will be disposed of responsibly and in accordance with applicable waste regulations. Where possible, materials will be reused or recycled. Waste will not be disposed of in a manner that could cause pollution to land, air, or watercourses.
Chemical and Hazardous Substance Control — All NDT chemicals and consumables are stored, handled, and disposed of in accordance with their Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and applicable COSHH regulations. Risks of spillage or environmental contamination are identified and controlled through site-specific risk assessments.
Energy and Emissions — Tresmontana Ltd will seek to minimise fuel consumption and emissions associated with travel and equipment use where reasonably practicable. Vehicle use will be planned efficiently to reduce unnecessary mileage.
Offshore and Coastal Operations — When operating in or near offshore or coastal environments, particular care will be taken to prevent the discharge of any substances — including oils, chemicals, or contaminated materials — into the sea or ecologically sensitive areas. All offshore activities will be conducted in compliance with the relevant operator's environmental management requirements.
Renewable Energy Sector — Tresmontana Ltd actively supports the renewable energy sector through inspection and maintenance services for wind energy assets. We recognise the importance of these assets to the UK's transition to cleaner energy and are committed to supporting their safe and efficient long-term operation.
Supply Chain — Where subcontractors or suppliers are engaged, Tresmontana Ltd will seek to work with organisations that share a commitment to responsible environmental practices.

4. Responsibilities
The Managing Director holds overall responsibility for the implementation of this policy and for ensuring that environmental considerations are integrated into operational planning. All personnel and subcontractors working on behalf of Tresmontana Ltd are expected to:
•    Follow this policy and any site-specific environmental requirements
•    Report any environmental incidents, spills, or near misses immediately
•    Avoid actions that could cause unnecessary environmental harm
•    Raise suggestions for improvement in environmental performance

5. Incident Reporting
Any environmental incident — including spillage of chemicals, improper waste disposal, or unplanned discharge — must be reported immediately to the Managing Director and, where required, to the relevant regulatory authority and client representative. All environmental incidents will be investigated, and corrective actions implemented.

6. Continual Improvement
Tresmontana Ltd is committed to continually improving its environmental performance. Environmental objectives will be set and reviewed periodically, with performance assessed against those objectives. This policy will be communicated to all personnel and subcontractors prior to commencement of work.

7. Policy Review
This Environmental Policy will be reviewed at least every two years, or sooner in the event of significant legislative change, a change in operations, or following an environmental incident. The Managing Director is responsible for keeping this policy current and relevant to Tresmontana’s activities.
